Position Overview

We are looking for a new team member that shares our values and is ready to take on exciting challenges as the company evolves. The Human Resource & Payroll Coordinator will support HR and payroll functions across multiple entities, covering both corporate (BC) and site (Yukon) operations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Human Resources

    • Coordinate recruitment process including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
    • Prepare and process employee-related documentation accurately (employment agreements, terminations, leaves, etc.)
    • Administer employee onboarding, offboarding, and employment changes
    • Coordinate employee benefits programs e.g. extended health, HSA
    • Develop and update job descriptions, HR manuals, and policies
    • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with applicable legislation (BC and Yukon)
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems

Payroll

    • Process full-cycle payroll for salaried and hourly rotational site employees, including overtime and shift-based schedules
    • Maintain payroll data in systems such as ADP
    • Ensure compliance with CRA requirements including source deductions and preparation of T4 statements etc.
    • Coordinate and prepare payroll-related filings including BC Employer Health Tax (EHT) and Workers’ compensation (WorkSafeBC and WorkSafe Yukon)
    • Reconcile payroll accounts and support audit requests

Key Competencies, Knowledge and Experience

  • 4+ years of HR and payroll experience in Canada; experience with Yukon payroll is required
  • Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation required; CPHR BC & Yukon considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of Employment Standards and payroll legislation in BC and Yukon
  • Familiarity with ADP or similar payroll systems
  • Previous experience in a mining or industrial environment is an asset
  • Familiarity with averaging agreements in Yukon is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Position Overview

The Supervisor, Health and Safety will play a key leadership role in developing and implementing a comprehensive Health and Safety Management System at Selkirk Copper’s Minto Mine Site. This is a critical leadership role responsible for fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation, regulations, and company standards.  The candidate for this role possesses people-management skills in addition to a high capacity for individual contribution.  Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required, in addition to a willingness to leverage technology and innovation to build fit-for-purpose solutions for a unique mining environment. This role will be responsible for managing all site paramedics and health and safety staff.  This role requires travel to site on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Safety Management & Compliance

    • Develop, implement, and maintain the site Health & Safety Management System (HSMS).
    • Ensure compliance with the Yukon Occupational Health & Safety Act and all applicable federal and territorial regulations.
    • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
    • Maintain all required certifications, and regulatory documentation.

Incident Management

    • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
    • Develop and track corrective and preventive action plans.
    • Report incidents to regulatory authorities as required.
    • Maintain accurate records of all incidents, near misses, and observations.

Training & Culture

    • Develop and deliver safety training programs for site personnel and contractors
    • Lead and facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and committee meetings.
    • Train health and safety staff in incident investigation and management best practices to enhance team capacity.
    • Champion a proactive safety culture through visible leadership and engagement.
    • Mentor and coach site supervisors and team leads on safety responsibilities.

Emergency Response

    • Develop and maintain the site Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
    • Take an active role in managing the onsite Emergency Response Team.
    • Coordinate and conduct regular emergency drills and exercises.
    • Liaise with local emergency services and regulatory bodies.

Risk Management

    • Conduct and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments.
    • Manage the site’s industrial hygiene and occupational health programs.
    • Oversee contractor safety management and prequalification processes.
    • Monitor and manage gas detection, PPE, and safety equipment programs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of health and safety experience, with at least 3 years in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.

Skills and Key Competencies

  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software and incident reporting systems (Site Docs or similar).

Position Overview

Selkirk Copper is seeking a motivated and experienced Principal Care Paramedic (PCP) to act as a Health and Safety Coordinator to support field operations at the Minto Mine Site in the Yukon Territory. Initially reporting to the Site Supervisor, this position is responsible for delivering pre-hospital emergency medical care and supporting all health and safety activities in accordance with Selkirk Copper policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. This role is a key safety champion – promoting a proactive safety culture across all site operations and serving as a key member of the Mine Emergency Rescue Team. Title is flexible depending on experience in Health and Safety.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Medical / Paramedic Duties

    • Act as primary point of contact between all employees and contractors on-rotation in relation to medical issues as well as assisting in the development of a site-wide Health & Safety system and positive Health & Safety Culture.
    • Serve as the primary medical responder for all on-site medical emergencies, illnesses, and injuries.
    • Provide advanced pre-hospital emergency care consistent with paramedic scope of practice.
    • Maintain and manage the site medical clinic, including inventory of medical supplies, medications, and equipment.
    • Conduct daily sick call and provide occupational health support to site personnel.
    • Coordinate medical evacuations (medevac) as required, liaising with air services and receiving facilities.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential patient care records and medical documentation.
    • Develop and deliver first aid and emergency response training to site personnel.
    • Collaborate with occupational health professionals to manage fit-for-duty assessments and return-to-work programs.
    • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
    • Maintain all required certifications.

Emergency Mine Rescue Team

    • Experience and certification in mine rescue is a strong asset.
    • Willingness to be trained and certified in Emergency Mine Rescue is a requirement.

Health & Safety Duties

    • Be a safety leader – lead by example and foster a proactive safety culture across all site operations.
    • Provide health & safety support to all departments in the planning and coordination of on-site activities, including hazard assessments, inspections, and training.
    • Review incident notification reports for quality and appropriate follow-up; lead full incident investigations as required.
    • Ensure all site personnel receive proper health and safety orientation, either through online platforms or in-person delivery.
    • Maintain a strong field presence while managing office-based documentation responsibilities.
    • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site Health & Safety Management System (HSMS).
    • Monitor compliance with Yukon Occupational Health & Safety Act and all applicable federal and territorial regulations.
    • Conduct regular site inspections, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and risk assessments.
    • Assist with contractor safety management and site inductions.
    • Make courageous decisions to stop or defer work if health and safety conditions are deemed unsatisfactory.
    • Other duties as required by the Health & Safety Manager or Site Supervisor.

Key Competencies, Knowledge and Experience

  • Current Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) designation or Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP), licensed in the Yukon or eligible and willing to obtain Yukon registration.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of paramedic experience; remote or industrial/occupational health experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in mine rescue is a strong asset.
  • Certification to deliver first aid training is a strong asset.
  • Occupational Health & Safety certificate, diploma, or degree is a strong asset.
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation or working towards designation is an asset.
  • Experience conducting thorough incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action tracking.
  • Strong working knowledge of Yukon OHS legislation and applicable federal regulations is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently under minimal supervision in a remote environment.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online safety software (e.g., SiteDocs or similar).
  • Previous experience working in mining, construction, heavy mobile equipment is an asset.
  • Previous experience working in a remote camp setting is an asset.
  • Ability to work in remote terrain, uneven surfaces, and all-weather conditions.

Position Overview

Selkirk Copper Mines is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our Vancouver based team as we advance towards and beyond the restart decision of the Minto Mine. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Project Engineer will collaborate closely with external engineering consulting groups responsible for preparing NI 43-101 technical reports, supporting input and assumption validation across a wide range of technical, operating, environmental, social, and capital disciplines, in design reviews, and in alignment with project objectives and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will bring a multi-disciplinary mindset, operational experience, and a hands-on approach suited to a dynamic restart environment. This position is based in Vancouver, BC, with a preference for candidates able to work primarily from the Vancouver office. Flexible remote working arrangements may be considered for highly qualified applicants, with periodic travel to the Vancouver office for team coordination and project reviews. Frequent site visits will be required throughout the project study phase, with increased site presence anticipated during the transition to ramp-up and construction, currently targeted for the first half of 2028.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities across the trade-off studies and Preliminary Economic Evaluation (PEA) and Feasibility Study (FS) phases.
  • Work closely with Selkirk Copper project leadership to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets including developing and managing a project risk register.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering consultant teams including geology, geotechnical, process/metallurgy, mining, mechanical, electrical, environmental, infrastructure, operations readiness, commissioning, operations, and community.
  • Work closely with the senior management team and other discipline leads to integrate data collection, analysis, evaluation, and interpretation to identify cost-effective and pragmatic solutions resulting in a reliable and executable restart plan.
  • Assist in holding engineering and subject matter expert consultants accountable to their KPI’s, specifically around earned value to ensure deliverables meet technical, cost, and schedule expectations.
  • Participate in and/or lead project meetings and contribute to decision-making through analysis and technical insight.
  • Provide technical input to project studies, cost models, and trade-off analyses to support economic evaluations and decision-making.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing/Mining Engineering or related discipline.
  • Registered as, or working towards, a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in a Canadian jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of site-based mining experience, preferable in operational roles with exposure to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with project controls and earned value principles of managing cost and schedule.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to PEA, PFS, and/or FS level studies.
  • Strong technical understanding of mineral processing flowsheets, operational constraints, and mining project development.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate clearly in a project environment.
  • Highly organized, accountable, and able to work proactively with limited supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in progressing toward Project Management responsibilities.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Exploration Manager, the Project Geologist plays a key role in advancing the onsite exploration programs. The Minto project will be focused on strategic conversion of Inferred to Indicated and Measured resources while creating an exploration target pipeline both near mine and across the regional land package. The 2026 program will be a 4 drill rig program aiming to drill up to 75,000 m that will inform a feasibility study in 2027. This role is based around a 2-weeks-on, 2-weeks-off fieldwork rotation, with possible remote work outside of the field season.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support daily operations at the core shack, including drill core logging, sampling, and assisting with core processing workflows
  • Assist in the execution of field programs, including geological mapping, prospecting, soil sampling, and drill target follow-up
  • Ensure accurate and consistent collection of geological and geotechnical data, with a focus on data quality and organization
  • Work closely with the Senior Geologist and drill contractors to support safe and efficient drill program execution
  • Maintain and update geological databases, ensuring timely entry and validation of logging, sampling, and assay data
  • Contribute to field logistics, coordination, and adherence to health and safety standards
  • Support QA/QC programs and collaborate with the broader technical team to maintain data integrity

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience and a post-secondary degree in geoscience or engineering is required
  • Working knowledge and technical competence with major ore deposit types in the western Cordillera region
  • Working knowledge of various stages of the exploration life cycle from early-stage exploration to advanced projects and/or mine site experience
  • Strong understanding of geological logging practices, sampling protocols, and field safety standards
  • Advanced written and oral English language is required
  • Proficient in Leapfrog, GIS and Microsoft Software suite
  • Critical and conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel within the region as required
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills and experience working with a broad range of people

Position Overview

Reporting to the Exploration Manager, and to the Senior Geologist on site, the Geologist plays a key role in supporting the onsite exploration programs. The Minto project will be focused on strategic conversion of Inferred to Indicated and Measured resources while creating an exploration target pipeline both near mine and across the regional land package. Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Complete daily operations at the core shack; primarily drill core logging, with assistance of sampling and core processing workflows as needed
  • Management of one drilling rig, along with drill site inspections, shut down decisions, hole planning etc. This may include early or late evening call-outs to the vehicle accessible drilling rig
  • Aid with pad and drillhole spotting and downhole surveying as needed
  • Document, analyze, and interpret drill core
  • Punctually submit completed drill core logs, geological sample descriptions, geological cross-sections, and end-of hole summaries etc. in required formats
  • Conduct routine quality and validation checks on the geological and sample database as prepared at the core logging facility to ensure database integrity. Take ownership and responsibility for the quality and integrity of the data collection, ensuring protocols are in place to prevent input/entry errors
  • Detailed photography of drill core samples
  • Ensure safety is given the highest priority and document/report any related safety incidents, identified hazards, or safety improvements to the senior geologist in the appropriate manner
  • Be a leader and role model for health & safety, environmental and community relations initiatives, support policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional work environment and encourage respectful behavior and technical excellence within the team
  • Understand and ensure compliance with Selkirk Copper safety policies, procedures, and technical guidelines
  • Support QA/QC programs and collaborate with the broader technical team to maintain data integrity
  • Assist in the execution of field programs, including potential claim staking, geological mapping, soil sampling, and rock sampling
  • Ensure accurate and consistent collection of geological and geotechnical data, with a focus on data quality and organization
  • Work closely with the geological team and contractors to support safe and efficient drill program execution

Position Overview

Reporting to the Exploration Manager, the Geotechnician plays a key role in advancing the onsite exploration programs. The Minto project will be focused on strategic conversion of Inferred to Indicated and Measured resources while creating an exploration target pipeline both near mine and across the regional land package. The 2026 program will be a 4 drill rig program aiming to drill up to 70,000 m that will inform a feasibility study in 2027. This role is based around a 2-weeks-on, 2-weeks-off fieldwork rotation.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Core Logging & Geological Support
  • Conduct geotechnical logging including RQD, box meter marking, fracture counts, and specific gravity (SG) measurements
  • Label core boxes accurately with meterage and hole ID; apply sample tags and maintain sample intervals
  • Capture high-quality core photographs with proper lighting, scale, and metadata
  • Maintain a clean, organized core shack with proper storage, core racks, and labeling systems.
  • Track and manage core shack inventory including supplies, tools, and sample materials
  • Support QA/QC programs and collaborate with the broader technical team to maintain data integrity
  • Prepare, tag, and bag samples for laboratory submission
  • Maintain strict chain-of-custody protocols from sample collection through to shipment

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all site-specific health and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and participation in safety meetings
  • Report near-misses, hazards, and incidents promptly according to camp procedures
  • Support environmental best practices including proper disposal, fuel handling, and trail minimization
  • Assist with camp safety checks and daily hazard assessments when in the field

Schedule and Travel Expectations

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy-Duty mechanic or dual ticketed Heavy/Light Duty Mechanic (dual ticket preferred but not required) to support our site operations. This role is critical in maintaining and servicing a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, power generation systems, pumping equipment, and light-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy and light-duty equipment
  • Maintain and service a fleet of Ford light-duty vehicles
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair Godwin trailer-mounted pumps
  • Support operation and maintenance of power generation systems, including CAT generators
  • Identify required parts and provide accurate part numbers for ordering when available
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site procedures
  • Maintain accurate service records and report equipment status

  • Experience with CAT/John Deere equipment and power generation systems preferred
  • Experience with pump systems (Godwin or similar)
  • Experience maintaining light-duty vehicle fleet (Ford preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote/site-based environment
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 3 with air brakes preferred)
  • Strong commitment to safety

Position Overview

Selkirk Copper is seeking a high energy General Labour & Maintenance Technician to support field operations at the Minto Mine Site in the Yukon Territory. Initially reporting to the Site Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintenance across site and helping to advance the potential restart of mining operations. This position is well-suited for individuals who are hard-working, safety-focused, and adaptable to changing priorities in a remote environment.

Janitorial and Maintenance Duties

  • Perform general labour duties in and around the mine site
  • Assist tradespeople, mechanics, and equipment operators
  • Load, unload, and transport materials and supplies across site
  • Operate small tools and assist with basic maintenance or construction activities
  • Conduct site clean-up, waste disposal, and housekeeping duties
  • Perform inventory on equipment/materials located across site
  • Complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisors

Health & Safety Duties

  • Adhere to all Selkirk Copper health and safety policies, sanitation standards and camp procedures
  • Participate actively in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and hazard identification
  • Take a proactive approach to identifying and reporting hazards and all incidents

Position Overview

The Onsite Logistics Specialist is a key member of the Site Services group, responsible for coordinating all logistical functions to support field operations at the Minto Mine Site in the Yukon Territory. Initially reporting to the Director, Business Planning and Site Operations, this position requires strong organizational skills, multi-tasking ability, initiative, and problem solving. The successful candidate will oversee personnel movements, procurement, inventory management, and special projects to ensure the site is safe, efficient, and well supplied as the project moves into a growth phase.


Title flexible depending on experience.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Personnel and Travel Logistics

    • Work with Logistics Manager and Site Supervisors to schedule personnel movements in and out of site (charter flights, ground transportation, dynamic personnel schedule changes)
    • Coordinate with contractors, employees, and vendors to ensure smooth and timely crew changes
    • Maintain up-to-date rosters, manifests, and travel documentation
    • Oversee procurement for the exploration department, including sourcing, purchasing, and tracking of equipment, consumables, and camp supplies
    • Build and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery
    • Monitor budgets and procurement records to ensure compliance with company policies

Procurement & Supply Chain

    • Working with the Logistics Manager, oversee procurement for the Site Services  group including sourcing, purchasing, and tracking of equipment, consumables, and camp supplies
    • Build and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery
    • Monitor budgets and procurement records to ensure compliance with company policies

Special Projects

    • Lead the re-design, clean-up, and organization of the site office to improve efficiency and workflow
    • Lead onboarding and implementation of workforce logistics software
    • Manage and execute special programs and operational improvement initiatives as directed by management
    • Support cross-departmental needs with a “hands-on” approach to get the project up and running effectively
